At Johnstonville Elementary School District (JESD), we strive to cultivate a strong home-school connection by welcoming and encouraging active parent involvement. Families are invited to participate through our School Site Council and a variety of school activities, including School Board Meetings, Back-to-School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Gathering in the Garden lunch opportunities, Awards Assemblies, athletic events, and more.

Our district maintains a small teacher-to-student ratio, ensuring personalized attention for our students. We also offer an after-school program until 5:00 p.m. to support working families and provide additional academic and enrichment opportunities. Through our Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP), students can engage in exciting STEM activities—an excellent way to learn new things and explore different interests, and have fun!

We encourage parents to run for office on the School Site Council or join the Johnstonville School Community Association (JSCA). To keep everyone well-informed, we share updates through our district website, newsletters, automated phone calls, teacher communications, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and ClassDojo.

Please note that we currently do not offer home-to-school or school-to-home transportation.

We hope you find our website user-friendly and informative. If you have suggestions for additional resources or ways to enhance your child’s educational experience, please feel free to contact us. Your involvement and input are greatly valued.
