At the district level, parents are encouraged to participate in the School Site Council. Johnstonville Elementary School District (JESD) a range of events, programs, and activities throughout the school year to help parents stay actively involved in their child's education and school community. Some of the opportunities available to parents at JESD include attending School Board Meetings, Back-to-School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, School Site Council, Awards Assemblies, our sports events, and more.
Parents are also encouraged to run for office and attend monthly meetings for the School Site Council and Johnstonville School Community Association (JSCA). To keep parents informed, the district provides updates through the school website, newsletters, automated phone service, teacher communications, Facebook, Instagram, and ClassDojo.
