Johnstonville Elementary School is a small, close-knit learning community situated just four miles east of Susanville, California. Surrounded by a serene rural landscape, our beautiful campus features state-of-the-art technology and security measures, ensuring that our students thrive in a safe, innovative environment. With an enrollment of approximately 200 students in transitional kindergarten (TK) through eighth grade, we maintain a small teacher to student ratio that encourages strong relationships among students, teachers, and families. Although we do not currently provide home-to-school or school-to-home transportation, many families gladly make the choice to attend Johnstonville Elementary School. In fact, more than 50 percent of our students join us from neighboring districts, illustrating the school’s outstanding reputation for academic excellence and community engagement. Ultimately, parents in our area have identified Johnstonville as the ideal place for their child’s education, where students are supported, inspired, and prepared to reach their fullest potential.
