The Johnstonville Elementary School District is committed to fostering an environment where a safe learning environment is the foundation for achievement. To ensure a safe, secure, and prepared campus atmosphere for both students and staff, the district will:

  • Promote a safe workplace for everyone.
  • Work to prevent accidents involving both staff and students.
  • Conduct educational exercises, such as fire and disaster drills, to enhance safety awareness and crisis response effectiveness.
  • Enforce campus safety procedures and crisis response regulations.
  • Develop clear processes for reporting, investigating, and addressing safety hazards and accidents.

Through these actions, we aim to maintain a safe and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth for all.

Illness and Injury Prevention Program
Top of Page

Johnstonville's Injury and Illness Prevention Program is designed to be a proactive approach that helps employers identify and address workplace hazards before they cause harm. We believe this program will prove effective in reducing injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. Many organizations have already implemented these strategies, often as part of OSHA's cooperative programs. Employers who adopt these programs not only see significant reductions in workplace injuries but also experience a positive shift in workplace culture, leading to increased productivity, improved quality, lower employee turnover, reduced costs, and greater employee satisfaction.
